Girls Night In

If you follow me on my Instagram you will have seen on Monday night I was lucky enough to spend my evening at absolutely beautiful Intercontinental Hotel on Collins Street in Melbourne thanks to Booking.com with my good friend Camille and Kat & Michelle from the blog Two Halves. The reason for this was because my friends and I were partaking in the Cancer Council’s ‘Girls Night In’ in awareness for women’s cancer. The foundation encourages friends to get together for a ‘Girls Night In’ to raise funds together in support of the charity.

I know for me, it’s not often that I have a night in with friends anymore. I couldn’t think of the last time I’d had a sleepover with my friends and just stayed in and watched movies…. we all felt like we were back in school before parties and going out got in the way. It was so nice to get together, particularly on a Monday night, and eat copious amounts of delicious food with a few glasses of bubbles while we watched chick flicks and did our nails. And the best thing about it is that it was for a good cause.

The Cancer Council’s ‘Girls Night In’ helps raise much-needed money that goes towards cancer research, prevention and support. If you’re interested in having your girlfriend get together to raise a little bit of money for a great cause, then more information can be found at the Pink Ribbon website here. You can host your own Girls Night In like I did, or you can even find other Girls Nights In that you can attend and/or donate to. As mentioned on their website, ‘whether it’s an intimate event at your home, or a huge event out at a venue, it’s all part of Girls’ Night In! It’s all about bringing women together, celebrating, and raising money to help Cancer Council beat breast and gynaecological cancers.’
