Plaid

untitledNovember-11-2013-16.jpg

I decided that I would succumb to trends once more and to jump on the plaid/tartan bandwagon with this blazer. If you would have asked me a year ago if I would ever be seen dead wearing plaid (pj’s don’t count) I would have told you that there is absolutely no way and could have sworn that this Scottish print would never be seen again, but I was so wrong, and now I am actually really liking it. Even though we are heading into summer here and tartan is definitely seen more traditionally as a winter fabric, I can see myself wearing plaid shorts, loose plaid pants and of course this plaid blazer (not all at once, of course) throughout the summer.

Zara Plaid Blazer (similar from ASOS here), Toi Et Moi ‘La Bomb’ Pants (similar here & in real leather here), Zara Knit Sweater (similar here), Seed Boots (similar from ASOS here & by Kurt Geiger here), JOIE ‘Cassandra’ Bag (also available via Shopbop here), Alexander McQueen Sunglasses (also available via Nordstrom here & Shopbop here), Gorjana Triple Cuff Ring, Bone & Feathers ‘Fox’ Necklace available via Silk Stone Wood

I will admit, I had not succumbed to this trend until seeing this blazer on you! I love that it’s more on the classic side of dressing, as opposed to denim cut offs with a kind of tatty plaid shirt which I have seen a lot of lately. Well styled lady!www.bretelle.com.au
