As soon as I walked into the hotel, I got the feeling that the place oozes old New York charm. The furnishings are French inspired and are quite traditional (because Sofitel is a French hotel group, which I didn’t know), while all staff apparently have to be bilingual in both French and English.
I stayed in one of the ‘Skyscraper Suites’ up on the 29th floor, which had some of the best views of Midtown I’ve seen during my short time here. The room was everything you can expect in a Sofitel: extremely comfortable, luxurious and extremely homely.
We were lucky enough to sample their ‘Delight Menu‘ in the Gaby Restaurant during our stay. This menu as explained to the Head Chef, is a “gastronomic adventure in healthy eating”. Focusing on the freshest and healthiest of ingredients, the Delight Menu offers a range of well-balanced, low-calorie meals to help you meet your health and weight goals in delicious style.
One of my favourite things about staying at The Sofitel NYC (other than the amazing view of the Chrysler Building) was sleeping in their ridiculously comfortable bed. I’m a big sucker for a comfy hotel bed (as I’m sure most are), but this bed has to take the cake for the most luxurious. Everything from the mattress, to the pillows, to the high thread count of the sheets made for the ultimate nights sleep.
Thanks for the amazing stay, Sofitel New York City! I can’t wait to come back soon for another mini staycation!
Oohh, you weren’t too far from me then. 🙂 I’m over at Langham Place- we were briefly neighbors!xoNStyle Tomes ||ST on IG
That looks amazing, thanks for the post! I had no idea the Sofitel had views like that. Definitely putting it on my list when I visit NY in September!
