Lychee Grapefruit Cocktail

We have been really inspired by Mad Men lately and decided last night to have a kind of retro cocktail night (along with the photos) featuring my favourite Lychee Grapefruit Cocktail.  In my opinion, this is the best cocktail out there and is perfect for these warm balmy nights we’ve been having. The lychee syrup sweetens up the sourness of the grapefruit juice, but not too much that it is overly sweet.

RECIPE (2 servings):

1/2 can of lychees

2/3 cup of grapefruit juice

1/3 cup of Vodka

Ice

DIRECTIONS:

1. Fill a cocktail shaker half way up with ice.

2. Out of the can of lychees, pour out half of the syrup into the cocktail shaker.

3. Add the grapefruit juice and vodka.

4. Shake and pour into a martini glass, topped up with a lychee and an ice cube to keep it cool, and garnished with a lychee on the side.
