Now that we are truly at the start of fall here in NYC, I thought I’d go back a month or two to our end of summer trip to Italy. Emily and I were desperate for a Europe vacay, and decided that we would book a last minute trip to the beautiful Amalfi Coast in Italy.
Italy is one of those places I can visit a 100 times and never not be surprised at how beautiful it truly is… Ok I’ve actually only been there 3 times, but I’m still not sick of it!
Our first stop on our Amalfi adventure was Sorrento, where neither of us had been before. While we were in Sorrento we stayed at the Grand Hotel Cucomella which is part of the Small Luxury Hotels, which we absolutely loved. Their aesthetic is clean and simple just the way I like it. The views impeccable throughout the hotel, and our room was quite spacious. We even had our own balcony with sea views!
We ate a ton at the hotel, their pasta was some of the best we’ve ever eaten. Everything cooked at the hotel is freshly made from the fruits and veggies they plant and grow themselves in their garden. This is great if you want to travel and still eat clean. Hotel Cucomella has beautiful anemities you don’t even want to leave the hotel because everything you can think of is there (in fact, we only left the hotel to go out for dinner!).
Each day we just lay by the pool, or on their salon overlooking the sea. It was so peaceful because it is a private space. The pool is massive and kept perfectly clean throughout the day.
I had the best few days here at the Grand Hotel Cucomella. Until next time Italia! xo
